Thea Gvetadze
She was born in Riga. She lives and works in Tbilisi and Berlin. Thea graduated from the Düsseldorf Art Academy; the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam, as well as the Tbilisi Art Academy Tbilisi. Her most recent show, ‘Becoming Thea Merlani’, was held in the Museum of Contemporary Art Antwerp, Belgium. She has had two shows in Gallery Nectar, Tbilisi, over the last last 3 years. Her work has been exhibited in Philara Collection, Düsseldorf; Gallery Markus Winter, Berlin; Gallery Ruzicska/Weiss, Düsseldorf; Gallery Nusser & Baumgarten, Munich; Museum of fundamental Archaeology at the 50th Venice Biennale, Georgian Pavilion; Anita Becker, Frankfurt; Museum am Ostwall, Dortmund; Time to make better, Kunstverein Ahlen, and many more.
