Tour of Sustainability

Soso Alavidze, Tbilisi based artist and architect presents his wooden structure in the Pushkin square  during the TAB.

Here is his manifesto: Let’s agree with the idea that true freedom arrives after one is free of their perceptions. What is our perception of architecture? Well… there’s an endless firework of perceptions I can imagine after such a question!
So, one day, my colleague’s kid, drew a rather interesting building at the age of 10. And I, favoring Artbrute as much as I do, immediately memorized this building. Such a Ziggurat; a narrow, tall tower with three steps. Quite an impressive building with its delicate forms, historical connections, and yet, very modern and functional. Shortly – Superb! Speaking of sustainability, this one was incredibly sustainable, it would withstand centuries. Oh, right, sustainability implies a new, green point of view as well. So friends, those of you who can, go ahead, don’t be shy to use old materials! Our Ziggurat is bound to be gorgeous!!!
