Nano Zazanashvili graduated from the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts, Faculty of Architecture, in 2007 and defended her Master’s degree in architecture sciences at the Georgian Technical University in 2009. She is the head of the Urban Policy and Research Division at the Municipal Department of Urban Development. Since 2010 she has been working as an architecture and urban researcher with different local and international organizations. Her research experience covers areas related to the architectural self-adaptation processes, urban transformation, housing, Soviet urban planning and architecture and cultural heritage. Zazanashvili is a co-founder of Docomomo Georgia.
