Gözde Şarlak is an urban planner and researcher based in Berlin. Her work spans academic and applied research, teaching, editorial and design projects. Alongside her own work she has collaborated with different architecture collectives (raumlabor, raumtaktik, ON/OFF) and has taught at the Istanbul Bilgi University and TU Berlin. She is currently a doctoral candidate at the Habitat Unit (TU Berlin). Her research interests include critical urban theory, commons, and feminist theory. In her dissertation, she aims to investigate alternative food networks in metropolitan areas. Since 2017, Gözde is a member of NYLON Berlin / Einstein Research Group based at the Georg-Simmel Center for Metropolitan Studies.
